HISTORY: The Ross House
This was the home of Sir Charles Henry August Fred Lockhart Ross, ninth baronet of Ross-shire, who was one of the largest landowners in the British Isles. He served as a captain during the Boer War, designed the Ross rifle used by the Canadian army during World War I, and worked with Gen. John T.
